I had to paint something to show lights and darks with only painting with black and whites. At first, I was stuck as to what to paint. I was pondering in my front room and at that moment, I realized that anything around me can be painted. Art is everywhere and I am the canvas.
I am a big fan of Marvel!! I have a family of boys and I wanted to paint something that I could put in our game room. I found a simple picture of Iron Man and posterized it in Adobe Photoshop and painted it using only the color values.
Painted this on canvas using acrylic paints. Practicing form and shadows. I love painting with acrylic paints. The flow of color as it hits the canvas runs on smoothly and easily. Mixing the colors can be an adventure as you may never know what color you may come up with.
