This project was to define yourself as a person and make a magnet reflecting that. I, as an adult have had many dreams, one of which was to have no boundaries. Living free and lifeless. That gave me the idea to be an astronaut, metaphorically of course. The other thoughts that came to mind was of course my responsibilities as a mother. I wear many hats and have many roles as a mother. From taking my kids all over town being a chauffeur, to being a nurse as I help heal the wounds of my boys and then to a cook. A lot of my work has been an inspiration from my family and experiences. The end product was an inspiration from my late grandmother. Her kitchen looked very similar to this. I brought in colors that would have been used at the time of the 1950’s with a twist of me. I cook with slippers on my feet for comfort and I love to bake!
