In my watercolor class at Salt Lake Community College, I was to research many famous watercolor artists and choose one and replicate it. Once I saw the art from Ray Campbell Smith, I was drawn to his realistic and soothing sceneries that was painted with water colors. I chose this piece for a couple of reasons. First, I love the beach and second, I wanted to find something that was challenging.
