When I went on my cruise to Cabo San Lucas with my family, I fell in love with this exotic sculpture made my natural resources. I loved the beauty of the grooves of the big rock that it possesses. In order for us to see it, I had to take a water taxi to go out to the ocean and see this beauty.
It had made such an impression on me that I wanted to challenge myself to design and build this in Adobe Illustrator. I was new to this program and I wanted to learn. I had many struggles with the color, shadows and making it look natural as the rock actually is in Mexico. I had to use a lot of layers with the pen tool and put it together to make it natural. My biggest problem was to make sure that when I laid the colors down, that it did not look choppy.
