The reason I went this direction for my logo is because I have been called a lot of names throughout my entire life that reflects bugs. It also has been the beginning of my inspiration from the beginning of my education at Salt Lake Community College. I have been called Katy-did, Katy lady, Katy bug...
just to name a few.
just to name a few.
To design the lady bug, I wanted to incorporate some aspects that would describe who I am. Instead of drawing a straight line down the back like any ordinary lady bug, I wanted to do draw a letter S for my last name. The spots on the lady bugs back represents my family. My family has been my biggest support group and I wouldn’t be where I am today without them. The two spots on the left are myself and my husband. And the three spots on the right are for my children. Which is the reason of the size difference of the three spots. I have a 16 year old son, 14 year old son and a 12 year old son. They have helped me many times study for my tests and over time, I have also shown them that if you work hard, you can accomplish anything. The colors I chose were my wedding colors. We have been supportive for each other in everything we have done together in the twenty years of our marriage.
